I have a post for the blog related to the lesson vocabulary. When we talked in class about the word "guilty", I remembered an expression which I have read on the internet. It's Guilty Pleasure. The unconfesable Pleasures! I read it related to pop singer Lady Gaga. This artist is now in the top ten lists in the USA... but nobody says: "I Love Lady gaga!". People seem to be ashamed of admitting to like a 'commercial' artist.
For example, the Rolling Stone magazine made a list of Guilty Pleasures, bands that many people like but nobody admit liking (like ABBA, for example). Here's the list.

What´s your guilty pleasure? For me... I don´t know... But sometimes I love to read stupid magazines like "Cuore", or... "Hola!" in the dentist waiting room or whatever. Is it one of my guilty pleasure?? I think so!

Hi! I'm Jaime. I'm going to start with my own guilty pleasures. I always criticise gossip programs on TV, like Aquí Hay Tomate, etc, but I have to admit that sometimes I watch them and I even enjoy them! They are rubbish, I know, but it's a bit like eating in McDonald's from time to time... unhealthy, but fun!

hi guys!! well i'm thinking about my own guilty pleasures...and i did find anyone!! Just one bau a big one...I really love one serie drama which is very famous in US(and some here) and i've to accept that it's an sbsolutely soap opera (telenovela). Now i confess the sin, but i'm not going to confess which show is ha...

ReplyDeleteAbout programs of TV, I always was saying to everybody that “You haven’t to watching reality shows and similar programs. They are garbage.” So, they will have a few audience and they will be remove. But, two months ago, I was alone at home and there were neither interesting film nor program on TV. Then, I started to watch a reality show. After that day, I was watching this program every week. But I am never going to say to my friends that I watched this program. And like Angela, I won’t say the name of this reality show.
About music, I don’t remember any guilty pleasures about me. But, I have a friend who she likes Rocio Jurado, but she only says it to her closed friends.

ReplyDeleteI'm thinking about my guilty pleasures...although I watch the television no much time sometimes I enjoy a lot with some stupid tv programs. The last was "Granjero busca esposa". Nobody watched it?
When I start with a program like this I can't stop. I can't understand where the tv program director finds this kind of people. They are freaky people and I don't know how can they do all the things they do and say. It's difficult to believe although they were in a performance because at the end they have to come back home.

ReplyDeleteIn my opinion all this types of TV programs like "Gran Hermano" or other reality shows are all rubbish, but I have to admit that I watch them. Everybody denies watching them, but when some ones starts speaking about them everybody knows what has happened.
