I don't like Mondays

Here's the video of I Don't Like Mondays in case you want to see it and listen to the song again...

Ecofont

Hello again...

Here's a short post about the ECOFONT

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

As I explained in class, it's a font for Word that you can use when you write and print documents to save a 20% of ink, which makes it more ecological (and cheaper). You can read about it and download it here

Please give me your opinions!! Some of you saw the printed font in class and I remember that you liked the idea...

Guilty Pleasures

Hi again! Eduardo sent me this. Of course, any posts for the blog are welcome, you just have to send me an email and I'll publish it!. Let's read what Eduardo wrote:

I have a post for the blog related to the lesson vocabulary. When we talked in class about the word "guilty", I remembered an expression which I have read on the internet. It's Guilty Pleasure. The unconfesable Pleasures! I read it related to pop singer Lady Gaga. This artist is now in the top ten lists in the USA... but nobody says: "I Love Lady gaga!". People seem to be ashamed of admitting to like a 'commercial' artist.

For example, the Rolling Stone magazine made a list of Guilty Pleasures, bands that many people like but nobody admit liking (like ABBA, for example). Here's the list.

And here's a video of Lady Gaga's song 'Just Dance':

What´s your guilty pleasure? For me... I don´t know... But sometimes I love to read stupid magazines like "Cuore", or... "Hola!" in the dentist waiting room or whatever. Is it one of my guilty pleasure?? I think so!

Hi guys!

Here are the two videos about the famous OJ Simpson murder trial. The first one shows him trying to wear the gloves:

...and this one is about the closing arguments of OJ Simpson's lawyer. To listen to the famous "if it doesn't fit, you must acquit" sentence, go to minute 4:30:

Kate Nash · Foundations

Hi again!

Here's a link to download an mp3 of the song Kate Nash we listened to this morning in class, in case you're interested. This is on a blog which is actually quite interesting - the entry includes a list of songs published in 2007 by talented young pop artists (pay attention my impeccable adjective order! :-) ) which might interest you. You can download it here.

You can also see the video of the song here:

hope you like it!
